That subject line is some quote I heard a long time ago.
Been repeating it to myself ever since.
And writing it as often as I can.
I’ll say it again.
(It’s one of those points that takes a while to really hit home, especially if you were raised in a home where everyone told you money is evil, or money corrupts you or some other lie.)
It’s your moral obligation to make as much money as possible.
This is true even if you’re doing well.
Say you’re making $100,000 per year.
It’s your moral obligation to make more.
Why?
Because you are not an a$$hole.
You’re not going to use the money to hurt people. You’re not gonna go buy a yacht and fill it up with cocaine and hookers so you can snort blow off of some blonde’s thigh before you take a jello shot out of her bellybutton.
If you’re anything like me, you’re going to spend it keeping your family safe and happy.
I refuse to say this Lady Denning:
“Sorry, babe, we need to get a slightly less safe car because I can’t afford anything else.”
I refuse to say this to the pair of Baby Dennings:
“Sorry this baby food tastes like grass, but the generic brand is I have the budget for.”
No damn chance.
Since shifting my mindset, here are a few of the things I’ve accomplished.
- Collected ~350,000 email list subscribers
- Gathered over 1 million social media followers.
- Racked up over 1 billion content views.
- Started and ran an 8-figure e-commerce business
- Created a 7-figure online academy
- Made 7 figures in writing royalties alone
I stopped making excuses.
I started making money.
Money is not evil.
Money is good.
The sooner you believe that, the better.
