When Bryce Martinez was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease at 16, he was bewildered. But by age 18, he had started to understand that the responsibility didn’t lie with him alone. He sued 11 major food companies, arguing that their ultraprocessed foods had brought on his illnesses.
