Now in its fourth year, the Fortune 500 Europe ranks the continent’s largest companies by revenue. Volkswagen retains the No. 1 position for the third year running, while HSBC is the most profitable company on the list, recording $22 billion in profits for 2025. Combined, the businesses on the list generated $15.5 trillion in revenue, equivalent to half of Europe’s GDP.
