Please join us Wednesday, September 24 at 7 p.m. in the McLean High School Lecture Hall for an important PTSA General Membership Meeting. We’ll share key updates, discuss priorities for the year ahead, and hear from PTSA and school leadership. Your participation and voice are important!
Celebrate McLean was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came out and to our amazing parent volunteers who helped make the day possible. A special shoutout to our Backpack Check volunteers, who checked more than 120 bags, giving students a safe and convenient place to stow their belongings throughout the event. We couldn’t have done it without you!

McLean Matters Toiletries Drive
McLean High School has approximately 300 students who are at or below the poverty level. For many of these students, lack of toiletries poses a serious barrier to their comfort and learning while at school. This is particularly true for girls who lack regular access to feminine hygiene products.
This year, the PTSA McLean Matters Committee will be hosting a Fall Toiletries drive to help support our students in need!
Please purchase items from this Amazon wish list by September 25th for delivery directly to the volunteer organizing this drive. She will be taking the toiletries collected to MHS, where they will be available for students during the school day at McPantry and for their families' pick-up during McPantry's fall food Pop-up in October.
Please do NOT take donations to the school, the front office has requested they be routed directly to our volunteer, so we can bring them in all at once.

McLean HS PTSA is excited to announce the launch of our new Multicultural Family Engagement Committee (MFEC)!
MFEC was created to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all MHS families by improving access to communication and resources and serving as a trusted hub where families can connect, share information, and support one another.
This year, MFEC brings together liaisons who support and connect with our Spanish, Indian, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese communities, helping bridge language and cultural gaps so that every family feels informed, valued, and at home in the MHS community.
We look forward to building stronger connections across our diverse families through communication, community events, and shared resources in the year ahead.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Opportunity - Friday Breakfast Station
The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. The Friday Breakfast Station is set up in the front office for the 250+ teachers & staff who are grateful each week for your donations. Donations can be dropped off in person or ordered online and shipped. Please click on the link to donate a breakfast item from the sign up list this month.

PSAT/SAT/ACT -
Mock Testing and Testing Resources

Looking for an opportunity to practice for the PSAT, SAT, or ACT? The McLean PTSA is partnering with The Princeton Review and Marigold Prep to offer virtual practice tests. Each testing session starts at 9am (or as otherwise noted). The test dates are as follows:
PSAT: September 26, 2026; July 17, 2027.
SAT : September 26, 2026; October 17, 2026; January 23, 2027; March 13, 2027; May 15, 2027; July 17, 2027.

ACT : September 26, 2026 12p EST; October 24, 2026; February 27, 2027; April 24, 2027; July 24, 2027.

Join us virtually to take the full-length practice tests. The registration fee is $20 per exam.
Registration closes 3 days prior to each exam, and you will receive an email with further instructions regarding the testing session. After each test, you will receive a comprehensive score report detailing your strengths and weaknesses.

2026 White House Ornaments Fundraiser

The McLean High School PTSA is offering the Official 2026 White House Ornaments as a fundraiser. This year, the Official White House Christmas Ornament honors America's 250th milestone.
