Hey Ola
Stylists love telling women heat is damaging.
Then you come sit in our chair... And what do we do?
Use heat. Every single time.
So what the heck is going on?
Heat itself is not the problem.
Using it too hot, too often, or without the right protection is.
Here’s the rule I teach clients:
Protect. Then pause.
A blow dryer is around 170 degrees, so you want a blow dry cream with heat protection built in.
An iron can hit 400+ degrees. That needs a thermal protectant made to handle it.
Then comes the part people forget...
Put the heat down.
No touching it up again tomorrow.
Give your hair at least three days between heat sessions so it has time to rest and recover moisture.
That’s the entire system.
Protect for the heat you’re actually using. Then give your hair a break.
Heat is a tool. You just have to be the one in control of it.
